Obertauern is one of the snowiest ski resorts in Austria. Due to its altitude, it offers good conditions for a long ski season, which starts in November and lasts until the end of April.
The topographical conditions, in particular the shape of the pass and the construction of the ski lifts, enable skiers and snowboarders to get anywhere in the ski area in just a few minutes without having to rely on public transport or the car - ski in ski out!
The Obertauern ski area offers 100 km of pistes and 26 modern lifts, covering different levels of difficulty and catering for all tastes. There are numerous opportunities to teach beginners how to ski, advanced skiers can improve their skills in special courses and experienced skiers can refine their technique by skiing the various pistes.
