Where the snow is at home
With its high elevation Obertauern is one of the snowiest ski resorts in Austria and visitors can expect a long season starting in November and stretching to the end of April. But that’s not all. The shape of the mountain pass in which Obertauern is located and the ingenious design of the ski lifts allow skiers and snowboarders to go anywhere in Obertauern in a matter of minutes without ever having to get on a bus or in their car. With 100 km slopes and 26 modern lifts, there is something for everyone in Obertauern. You will find plenty of opportunities to teach the children how to ski, set first tracks in the powder or carve down one perfectly groomed slope after another.
