Arrival by car

Get to your holiday destination safely, quickly and easily. The Obertauern ski region is easily accessible via well-maintained roads - from all directions!

 

Access from the north

Motorway Munich - Salzburg - A10 Tauern motorway - motorway exit Radstadt, Exit 63 - B99 Katschberg federal road - Radstadt - Obertauern

Access from the south

Villach - A10 Tauern motorway - motorway exit St. Michael, Exit 104 - Mauterndorf - Obertauern

Access from the east

Vienna - A2 - S6 - Semmering - A9 Pyhrnautobahn - Liezen B320 - Radstadt or Judenburg - Murtal Bundesstraße - Murau - Tamsweg - Mauterndorf - Obertauern

Free skibus to Obertauern

With a valid ski pass you can take the shuttle busses to and from Obertauern free of charge*. You also get a free trip on your fist day when you head for the slopes dressed in ski gear. Direct ski busses connect Obertauern with Untertauern, Radstadt, Mauterndorf and Tamsweg.

*Ski passes for groups are not valid as bustickets. For EUR 7,00 you can add a bus ticket to your ski pass wich will be valid for the duration of validity of the ski pass. Winter-Cards and Point-Cards are only valid bus tickets when it is apparent that passengers are partaking in alpine winter sports (i.e., they are dressed in ski clothing and carrying ski equipment).

Arrival by train

The closest train station to Obertauern is Radstadt, which is about 20 km away. A further journey is possible by bus or taxi.
